Website SESAMESynch Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME)

SESAME is the first synchrotron light source built in the Middle East, located in Allan (Jordan). The facility consists of a 20 MeV Microtron, an 800 MeV Booster synchrotron and a 2.5 GeV electron storage ring. Two beamlines are in operation (X-Ray Absorption and Infrared), while three further beamlines will follow in the next two years, to carry out world-class research in virtually all fields of Science.

SESAME offers a vibrating and stimulating international environment with great possibility of scientific and technical growth. SESAME is seeking to recruit a motivated Engineer or Physicist (BSc degree) to support the operation of all the accelerators of the facility.

SESAME uses state-of-the-art instrumentation and techniques to ensure the continuous operation of the three accelerators and of the running beamlines. SESAME strives to delivering a safe and reliable beam to serve the user community in their experiments, maintaining a high availability and a quick fault s analysis. Operations Team members will work on a regular 24 hour, 7 day, continuous year round shift system.
