We have a unique opportunity for an (Assistant) Computer Systems Administrator in the Scientific Computing team.

The Scientific Computing team are seeking a keen problem solver with a desire to learn and expand their horizons. The team is responsible for all of the science-enabling computing that the researchers require to get the best results as quickly as possible. As Assistant Computer Systems Administrator role you will assist in the installation, commissioning and support of computer systems required for the operation of Diamond Light Source beamlines.

To be considered for the more senior position – Computer Systems Administrator – it is essential that you have acquired some experience in the computer system administration in Windows environment. You will be responsible for the design, development, commissioning and operational support of high performance computer and storage systems to support the scientific capabilities of the Diamond Synchrotron Light source. Engage closely with beamline scientists, engineers, and users as appropriate to provide support and to inform the development of new systems.
