DESY is one of the world’s leading research centres for photon science, particle and astroparticle physics as well as accelerator physics.

DESY looks back on a long tradition in synchrotron radiation experiments in a wide range of applications and has developed into one of the leading centres in this field worldwide. For high end synchrotron radiation applications, the 3rd generation source PETRA III is available since 2009 as one of the most brilliant hard X-ray source worldwide. The beamline P01 – DYNAMICS hosts an end station for Inelastic X-ray Scattering (IXS) which profits from a highly intense x-ray beam, which in combination with micro focusing allows for a new generation of experiments using this technique. We are looking for a highly motivated experienced scientist to be responsible for the IXS activities
