Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste is an international multidisciplinary research center operated as a user facility, featuring a 2.0/2.4 GeV, third-generation synchrotron light source and a variety of support laboratories. Job Description:
The selected candidate is expected, under the supervision of the Head of the ILO, to establish an independent program for the development of industrial collaborations and to enhance the industrial use of synchrotron radiation at Elettra. He/she will undertake and direct the identification and commercial development of technologies and processes in the form of intellectual property, in deriving the full commercial value of applied research and development programs. He/she will build and maintain industrial relationships with a view at deriving, driving and developing maximum value from innovation and generating revenues for the company.
Qualifications:
A degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or a related field is required and a Master in Business Administration or equivalent degree would be considered a plus.
An appropriate industrial background, and/or professional experience in R&D activities, together with experience in business development, contract negotiation and project management in industrial environment is expected. The knowledge of different forms of intellectual property, their protection and exploitation knowledge would be considered a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to promote and perform independent work in a group­oriented research environment are expected.
Very good oral and written communication skills both in Italian and in English are essential.
