For a collaborative project between the Operando Spectroscopy group and the Swiss Data Science Center, focusing on developing and implementing data science approaches for X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy at the Debye beamline of the Swiss Light Source, we are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow.

Your tasks

Develop data science approaches for X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy XAS in the field of energy materials and catalysis
Writing data processing pipelines or automatic data labelling of large spectroscopy datasets
Implement machine learning algorithms for classification of X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy data
Develop new algorithms for noise filtering time-series data
Writing of scientific publications

Your profile

PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry or Computer Science
Extensive knowledge in machine learning and classification algorithms
Experience in the analysis of X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy data
Proficient in python programming
Fluent spoken and written English
