Postdoctoral Researcher for the development of MHz X-ray microscopy (f/m/d)

The position

• Development of the forward modelling pipeline for image formation in X-ray multi-projection imaging
• Data processing and online/offline analysis for MHz microscopy using novel data processing approaches
• Participation in demonstration and user-proposed MHz microscopy experiments at the European XFEL and other international X-ray facilities
• Dissemination of results in peer-reviewed journals and at scientific conferences

Requirements

• PhD in physics, X-ray imaging or a data modelling related discipline
• Sound knowledge of data processing and image analysis
• Excellent programming skills in Python or C++, especially in related modelling applications e.g. wave propagation and image analysis
• Ability to interpret experimental and model data
• Ability to conduct independent work and research in a collaborative environment
• Willingness to work in a diverse team of international scientists, engineers and technicians
• Experience in participating in experiments at free-electron laser, synchrotron or other major research facilities as well as experience in coherent optics will be an asset
