This position will support Diamond scientists and engineers during the electrical design, installation and commissioning of beamline equipment. The successful candidate will manage a small team to maintain and develop equipment across the beamlines of the Magnetic Materials Group which includes the electrical development of x-ray diffractometers, microscopes and equipment that operates in extreme conditions such as high magnetic fields and low-temperatures. The technician will play an integral role in delivering the science vision of the group and will bridge the activity across different disciplines on a number of beamlines.
