Upcoming Conferences:
We are delighted to confirm that HAXPES 2026 will be taking place in Oxford (UK) from 13 – 17 April 2026. The 11th International Conference on Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (HAXPES 2026) provides a week-long, international forum for the presentation and discussion of recent advances in hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and its application. The meeting will bring together colleagues from academia, national laboratories, and industry to discuss the latest developments in instrumentation, methodology, theory, and emerging applications, centred around multiple topical areas. The program will include plenary, invited and contributed talks, poster sessions, vendor exhibition, and ample networking opportunities, providing a unique platform to foster dialogue across disciplines and promote collaborations that will further advance both the methodology and the scientific impact of hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. For the first time, HAXPES 2026 will feature an early career morning, designed to support junior colleagues in developing their research profiles, building professional networks, and engaging with leaders in the field. We are thrilled to invite you to join us from May 17-22, 2026, at the Centre International Deauville (CID) for a fully in-person event. IPAC is the premier annual gathering for the global accelerator community, bringing together scientists, engineers, and industry professionals from around the world. This conference is a unique opportunity to explore the latest breakthroughs in accelerator research and development, as well as to receive updates on current and future accelerator facilities. The 2026 edition of IPAC is hosted by the GANIL-SPIRAL2 laboratory in collaboration with CEA, CNRS, Synchrotron SOLEIL, and ESRF. These organizations are renowned for their expertise in the design, construction and operation of a wide variety of particle accelerators and innovative accelerator technologies. 1 April 2025 9 October 2025 3 December 2025 17 March 2026 Key dates for XAFS2026: The International Workshop on Phase Retrieval and Coherent Scattering is the leading international meeting focused on sharing the latest advances in developing and using coherent scattering methods with X-rays, extreme-ultraviolet light, and electrons recently enabled by advances in source technology. This biannual conference series, started in 2008, attracts researchers from many fields (including physics, chemistry, biology, optics, earth, environmental, planetary sciences, and materials research) who are interested in developing coherence-based methods and their applications. The University of Wisconsin and Argonne National Laboratory will host the 2026 Coherence Workshop along the peaceful shores of Lake Mendota in downtown Madison, Wisconsin from June 21-25, 2026. With the Upgrade of the Advanced Photon Source (APS) now fully completed, the United States Midwest region will start a new chapter in its long history of science with coherent x-rays and electron sources. We invite the worldwide community to join us in Madison and at the APS for this meeting. Early Bird Registration – Conference Only Regular Registration – Conference Only Registration – Workshop & Conference Student – Workshop & Conference The conference will convene an international community of researchers investigating surfaces and interfaces across solid, liquid, biological, and soft and hard condensed-matter systems using advanced X-ray and neutron scattering techniques. The scientific program will highlight recent advances in instrumentation and data analysis, nanostructured surfaces and interfaces, soft-matter and biological interfaces, magnetic thin films and proximity effects, topological and other emergent interfacial materials, and the static and dynamic behavior of surfaces, interfaces, and nanoscale structures.Key dates
