Electrician for MAX IV

Your team
The “Electrical and powersupply systems” team has overall responsibility for all electrical systems at MAX IV,
throughout the entire life cycle from design to operation and maintenance. Today, the team consists of 5 electricians and two electrical engineers.

Our system consists of power installations (low voltage), lighting, telecommunications facilities,
process installations, electricity for plumbing systems, network installations.

MAX IV is looking for a self-propelled electrician with experience from the process or manufacturing industry.

Your tasks will include:

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance and troubleshooting on the plant
• Building control cabinets
• Participate in installation planning for electrical work
• Material ordering
• Participate in electrical inspections
• Thermography of the electrical system

To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications:

• Relevant electrical education and at least 5 years of experience as a self-propelled electrician
• Good knowledge of standards within the discipline, e.g. Swedish Electrical Standard on electrical installations, electrical installation rules, inspection before commissioning and maintenance of electrical installations
• Good knowledge in electricity distribution, electrical machines and electricity metering
• Good knowledge of drawing reading for control cabinets and external connections
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and PC environment

• Certificate in and experience in Hot Work
• Lift training and experience in high-altitude installation
• Experience of electrical work in laboratory environments, process industry and complex installations
• Experience with control cabinet installations
• Experience in contacting (including soldering)
• Experience with network installations
• Worked as a leading fitter
• Experience in thermography

As a person, you are a dynamic team player who appreciates variety. Since we work in an international environment at MAX IV, the work requires good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
