This course enables participants to extract hidden mechanical information from volumetric images captured during material deformation processes. This topic is increasingly important as the 4D imaging community continues to grow, generating vast amounts of data at an accelerating pace.
The training is divided into two parts: a half-day of theory, followed by 1.5 days of computer-based practical sessions using the XDigitalVolumeCorrelation extension in the Thermo Scientific™ Amira-Avizo Software 3D. This extension implements two approaches: a classic subset-based method and a more robust global method. On the final afternoon, participants are invited to work on their own dataset with guidance from the trainers.
